As part of our commitment to providing expert services, Can-West Fire Investigations has excellent working relationships with Western Canadas top specialized engineering services such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, structural, and biomechanical engineering.
We have our own 40-foot heated examination bay to accommodate vehicles, trucks and equipment, providing a well-lit, heated, dry, secure facility to prevent spoliation of evidence. The heated facility provides our investigators and the insurance industry a location where vehicles or equipment can be brought to a controlled environment for examination due to the adverse conditions experienced in Alberta. Our company also offers mechanical inspections, which include vehicle fluid analysis for wear. We have vast experience in post-fire investigations to validate the presence of contents and heat or fire-related damage to vehicles & structures.
In addition, we have a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator with an accelerant detection canine on staff. All of our investigators maintain continuous training with certifications.
We have also provided training to the Insurance Institute of Canada, numerous insurance companies, police, and fire departments on a variety of topics. These topics range from fire classification, scientific method approach, vehicle and equipment fires, structural fires, investigative techniques, subrogation claims & statement analysis for front-line adjusters.
